Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This policy explains what Wayfarly uses them for, and is designed to meet the consent requirements of the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, the UK PECR/UK GDPR, and similar consent-based rules elsewhere. How consent works on this site

On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept all cookies or reject non-essentialones. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies loads until you choose. Your choice is stored in your browser (not on our servers) and you can change it anytime using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.

Essential cookies (always on)

Used for core functionality — such as remembering your cookie choice itself and your quiz progress within a session. The site doesn't function correctly without these, so they aren't subject to the accept/reject choice.

Functional — interactive maps

The "How to get there" map on destination pages loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, a third party that can see your IP address when the map loads. We only load it if you've accepted non-essential cookies; otherwise you'll see a static route diagram instead.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are popular, how visitors navigate the site — so we can prioritize which destinations to build next. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. This only runs if you've accepted non-essential cookies; you can also opt out separately using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising cookies

If and when we enable advertising through Google AdSense, it and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including based on your browsing activity across other sites — again, only with your consent. You can separately manage Google's ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.

Managing or withdrawing consent

Use the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer at any time to change your choice. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

A note on scope

This policy and banner are a good-faith implementation, not a substitute for legal advice — if you're relying on this site for a business subject to specific regulatory obligations (for example, Google's EU user consent requirements for AdSense, which call for a certified consent management platform once ads are live to EEA or UK visitors), have it reviewed before launch.
