About Wayfarly

I'm José María Martínez, and I built Wayfarly because I travel constantly — and organizing a trip that's actually good, not just booked, kept turning into more work than the trip itself.

Outside of travel agencies charging a premium to hand you a pre-packaged itinerary, there wasn't a good way to plan a trip properly without losing a weekend to scattered research: comparing real costs by budget level, working out actual transport options from wherever you happen to live, separating useful advice from marketing copy dressed up as a guide. Wayfarly is my attempt to close that gap — genuinely useful trip planning without needing an agency or forty open browser tabs.

Every destination page breaks costs into three honest tiers instead of one vague number, and pairs that with a route comparison from major departure hubs so you can weigh a flight against a train or a long bus ride before you book anything.

How I'm building this

I'm adding destinations deliberately, one continent at a time, starting with Europe. That's a choice, not a limitation of the moment — a smaller set of genuinely well-researched, carefully written guides is more useful than hundreds of thin ones, and it lets me keep the pricing and route data reasonably current as the site grows.
